Solunion Chile names new CEO

Solunion Chile Seguros de Credito SA said Alberto Berges, an executive from Mapfre SA, will become its new CEO starting in 2019.

The appointment comes after Mapfre, which owns a 50% stake in Solunion Chile as part of a credit insurance joint venture with Euler Hermes Group SA, tapped current CEO Fernando Pérez-Serrabona to lead its Brazilian operations.

Berges, who will take over Jan. 1, 2019, was CEO at Mapfre Assistance.

Fernando Pérez-Serrabona has been Solunion Chile's chief executive since 2013.
