Echo ups measured resources at Orelia gold deposit in Western Australia

Echo Resources Ltd. said June 14 that it upgraded resources for the Orelia deposit, part of the larger Yandal gold project in Western Australia, in the measured category to 2.8 million tonnes grading 2.6 g/t gold for 237,000 contained ounces.

Total measured, indicated and inferred resource for the deposit was pegged at 1.07 million ounces of gold contained in 15.9 million tonnes grading 2.1 g/t gold. The updated estimate includes measured and indicated resources of 969,000 ounces of gold contained in 14.0 million tonnes grading 2.2 g/t of gold. The explorer reported the resource estimates at a 1.0 g/t gold cutoff grade.

Data gathered from a 2,881-meter diamond drilling program, which comprised 19 holes, was incorporated as the basis for the resource estimate update, which is a component of Echo's bankable feasibility study for the project. Completion of the bankable feasibility study is due shortly.
