Fox Corp. renews distribution agreement with Charter

Fox Corp. renewed its distribution agreement with Charter Communications Inc.

The long-term deal covers the distribution of the FOX Television Stations, FOX News Channel (US), FOX Business Network (US), FOX Sports 1 (US), FOX Sports 2 (US), BTN (US) and FOX Deportes (US).

The agreement, financial details of which were not disclosed, also includes video-on-demand and TV Everywhere rights for these networks, enabling Charter subscribers to watch a range of FOX programming live and on-demand through the FOX NOW, FOX Sports and FOX News apps, according to an Oct. 21 news release.

Further, the companies will team up against piracy and implement business rules to address unauthorized access to content.

Fox recently renewed its carriage agreement with DISH Network Corp. while agreeing to a long-term renewal of its distribution agreement with Cox Communications Inc.
