Sermsuk Q2 loss narrows YOY

Sermsuk Public Co. Ltd said its second-quarter normalized net income came to a loss of 2 satang per share, compared with a loss of 41 satang per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of 5.7 million baht, compared with a loss of 109.2 million baht in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin increased to negative 0.2% from negative 3.9% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose on an annual basis to 2.94 billion baht from 2.81 billion baht, and total operating expenses totaled 2.99 billion baht, compared with 3.01 billion baht in the prior-year period.

Reported net income decreased 98.3% on an annual basis to 3.5 million baht, or 1 satang per share, from 202.6 million baht, or 76 satang per share.

As of Aug. 10, US$1 was equivalent to 34.75 baht.
