Nutritional Holdings fiscal H1 loss widens 18.7% YOY

Nutritional Holdings Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Aug. 31 was a loss of 1.5 million rand, compared with a loss of 1.2 million rand in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

Total revenue declined 5.9% year over year to 18.2 million rand from 19.3 million rand, and total operating expenses decreased year over year to 20.3 million rand from 20.9 million rand.

Reported net income totaled a loss of 2.4 million rand, or a loss of 0 cents per share, compared to a loss of 2.1 million rand, or a loss of 0 cents per share, in the year-earlier period.

As of Nov. 16, US$1 was equivalent to 14.36 rand.
