NYC files to build Manhattan seniors housing facility

The New York City Department of Housing Preservation plans to build an 11-story, 196,000-square-foot seniors housing facility in Manhattan, N.Y., The Real Deal reported.

The 195-unit building at 149 West 108th St. would include a medical facility, offices, waiting rooms, a dining room and a play room, the publication reported, citing filings made with the New York Department of Buildings. It would replace the five-story Valley Lodge seniors housing building currently on the site.

According to the report, the Department of Housing Preservation could not be immediately reached for comment.
