Emergent BioSolutions makes exec changes for growth strategy

Emergent BioSolutions Inc. said its board promoted its Robert Kramer Sr. to the newly created position of president and COO, effective March 26.

Kramer, who joined Emergent in 1999, most recently served as executive vice president of administration and CFO.

In addition, the Gaithersburg, Md.-based life sciences company's board appointed Richard Lindahl as executive vice president and CFO, also effective March 26.

Lindahl previously served as CFO of privately-held Corporate Executive Board Co., a best practice insight and technology company.

The company said the appointments are aimed at aligning its organizational structure to its long-term strategy and to the achievement of its near- and long-term growth objectives.
