Mexican remittances rose 3.6% in April

Mexican remittances spiked 3.6% year over year to $2.86 billion in April, though still eased slightly from $2.88 billion in March, data published by Banco de México showed.

Total remittances in the first four months of 2019 amounted to $10.52 billion, up 5.8% from $9.95 billion over the same period of 2018. Nearly 98% of those funds were sent through electronic transfers.
