PayPoint raises fiscal dividend despite YOY decline in profit

PayPoint PLC's board proposed to pay a final dividend of 30.6 pence per share in respect of its fiscal year ended March 31, compared to 30.0 pence per share a year ago.

The board also declared an additional dividend of 24.5 pence per share. The total ordinary dividend for the 2018 fiscal year amounts to 45.9 pence per share, up 2% from 45.0 pence per share in respect of the previous fiscal year.

The final and additional dividends will be paid July 30 to shareholders on the register June 22, subject to shareholder approval at the annual general meeting.

PayPoint reported profit attributable to equity holders of the parent of £42.9 million for the fiscal year ended March 31, compared to £59.6 million a year earlier.
