Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd. introduced a new hydrogen fuel cell bus in a bid to strengthen its position in China's booming zero-emissions market, the Nikkei Asian Review reported May 31.
According to the report, the F12 has a driving range of 500 kilometers after 10 minutes of hydrogen refueling. It will be sold under the Yuan Cheng Auto brand, which Geely formed for new-energy commercial vehicles, the Nikkei said.
Geely will remotely provide breakdown diagnostics and 24-hour surveillance, as well as maintenance checks, parts replacements, fleet management and financing services for those buying the buses.
The F12 is being produced in the provinces of Sichuan and Shanxi in a bid to capture the market in those places, the newspaper added.
