First Mid-Illinois Bank & Trust names executives after merger

Mattoon, Ill.-based First Mid-Illinois Bank & Trust NA is making executive changes following its merger with Champaign, Ill.-based First BancTrust Corp.

The merger, which was completed May 1, will see the conversion of customer accounts from First Bank to First Mid later this year.

Matt Carr, previously president of First Bank, will become executive vice president of the northern region of the combined company. In his role, Carr will oversee all former First Bank markets and First Mid lending operations in Champaign, Decatur and the surrounding areas, including Indianapolis. He will combine the lending teams and operations of both banks in those markets.

Mitch Swim, who was senior vice president and regional community president of the Decatur and Champaign regions, will become senior special assets officer and will help maintain asset quality for First Mid.

Mike Krueger, community president for Champaign, was appointed as consumer and home equity line of credit manager.

Jaci Manzella will join Krueger as home equity line of credit processing and underwriting manager. Manzella previously was a retail loan officer.
