Falck Renewables to supply output of Scottish wind farm to Shell

Falck Renewables SpA will provide the output of its 67.5-MW Kilbraur wind farm near Golspie, Scotland, to Shell Energy Europe Ltd. under a new power purchase agreement.

The agreement begins in October and covers the entire electrical output and other associated benefits from the wind facility, according to a Sept. 23 news release from Italy-headquartered Falck.

The Kilbraur wind facility started operations in 2008 and consists of 27 turbines. It is owned by Falck Renewables subsidiary Kilbraur Wind Energy Ltd.

In April, the companies signed a similar agreement for Falck's Millennium wind farm near Fort Augustus, Scotland.

Shell Energy Europe is a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell PLC.
