Anilana Hotels & Properties PLC said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, was a loss of 26 Sri Lankan cents per share, compared with a loss of 9 cents per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of 110.2 million rupees, compared with a loss of 36.1 million rupees in the prior-year period.
Total revenue increased year over year to 28.4 million rupees from 12.0 million rupees, and total operating expenses increased 81.8% from the prior-year period to 116.6 million rupees from 64.1 million rupees.
Reported net income came to a loss of 175.9 million rupees, or a loss of 42 cents per share, compared to a loss of 58.2 million rupees, or a loss of 15 cents per share, in the prior-year period.
As of Feb. 16, US$1 was equivalent to 133.00 Sri Lankan rupees.
