Report: Affinity Equity Partners explores sale of Malaysian hospital operator

Affinity Equity Partners is working with an adviser as it looks to sell Island Hospital Sdn. Bhd., Bloomberg News reported, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

The medical hospital operator owns a facility in north Kuala Lumpur's Penang state, and a deal could be worth $500 million to $1 billion, sources said.

Discussions are still at an early stage, and the Hong Kong-based private equity firm may opt against a sale, they added.

An Affinity representative did not answer Bloomberg's requests for comment.
