Jordan Dubai Islamic Bank said on Jan. 24 that it had named "Mohammed Nasser" Salem Mohammed Abu Hammour as chairman of its board of directors and appointed four others to the board.
Besides Hammour, four new members were appointed to the board — Basem Isam Halim Salfiti, Dima Mifleh Mohammed Akel, Khaled Amro Oraibi Al Qunsol and Fa'ez Ahmed Hasan Al Maryami.
The five new members represent the Etihad Islamic Investment Co. on the board.
Hammour served as finance minister of Jordan between 2009 and 2011. The board also elected Faisal Abdul Razak Musa Hiari as deputy chairman.
The changes came after a Bank al Etihad-led consortium acquired a stake in Jordan Dubai Islamic Bank from MESC Investments PSC.
Jordan Dubai Islamic Bank will also change its name within six months.
