Britvic profit misses consensus by 15.1% in fiscal H1

Britvic PLC said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended April 12 came to 13 Great British pence per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 16 pence per share.

EPS increased 11.0% year over year from 12 pence.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was £33.1 million, a gain of 12.1% from £29.6 million in the prior-year period.

Total revenue decreased on an annual basis to £650.3 million from £670.7 million, and total operating expenses fell year over year to £585.7 million from £610.2 million.

Reported net income rose 37.9% on an annual basis to £38.0 million, or 15 pence per share, from £27.6 million, or 11 pence per share.
