Atlas Honda fiscal Q3 profit climbs 29.5% YOY

Atlas Honda Ltd said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to 5.17 Pakistani rupees per share, a gain of 29.5% from 3.99 rupees per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 534.5 million rupees, an increase of 29.5% from 412.7 million rupees in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 4.6% from 3.7% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 5.6% on an annual basis to 11.73 billion rupees from 11.11 billion rupees, and total operating expenses increased year over year to 10.88 billion rupees from 10.45 billion rupees.

Reported net income grew 29.5% from the prior-year period to 621.7 million rupees, or 6.01 rupees per share, from 480.1 million rupees, or 4.64 rupees per share.

As of Feb. 3, US$1 was equivalent to 101.17 Pakistani rupees.
