AB Bank managing director resigns

Moshiur Rahman Chowdhury resigned as managing director of Bangladesh-based AB Bank Ltd., The Daily Star reported Oct. 12, citing an official from the lender.

Chowdhury's resignation was approved by the bank's board, along with his application for one-month leave, the official said.

The departure marks the third resignation of a bank managing director since August after Muhammad Awal Khan stepped down from the role at Bangladesh Small Industries & Commerce Bank Ltd., or BASIC Bank, and A.E. Abdul Muhaimen resigned from United Commercial Bank Ltd.
