Carlyle Group invests in Boston-based accounting services provider

Global alternative asset manager Carlyle Group LP has invested in Boston-based CFGI, a national provider of technical accounting and financial advisory services.

Carlyle Group's third dedicated financial services fund, Carlyle Global Financial Services Partners III, and CFGI management provided equity for the investment.

Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz served as Carlyle Group's legal adviser and Duff & Phelps served as financial, accounting and tax advisers. Robert W. Baird & Co. and Stifel Nicolaus & Co. Inc. served as financial advisers to CFGI, and Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP and Kirkland & Ellis LLP served as CFGI's legal advisers.
