Donear Industries fiscal Q2 profit climbs YOY

Donear Industries Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 amounted to 36 Indian paise per share, an increase from 17 paise per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 18.8 million rupees, an increase from 8.9 million rupees in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 1.5% from 0.7% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased year over year to 1.27 billion rupees from 1.23 billion rupees, and total operating expenses grew on an annual basis to 1.18 billion rupees from 1.16 billion rupees.

Reported net income grew 95.8% on an annual basis to 21.0 million rupees, or 40 paise per share, from 10.7 million rupees, or 21 paise per share.

As of Nov. 13, US$1 was equivalent to 66.19 Indian rupees.
