Monster Beverage Corp. said its third-quarter normalized net income amounted to 29 cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 27 cents per share.
EPS rose 28.4% year over year from 23 cents.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $181.6 million, an increase of 53.3% from $118.5 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 24.0% from 18.6% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed 19.0% year over year to $756.6 million from $636.0 million, and total operating expenses grew on an annual basis to $462.4 million from $445.4 million.
Reported net income rose 43.3% on an annual basis to $174.8 million, or 28 cents per share, from $122.0 million, or 23 cents per share.
