Bodegas Esmeralda SA said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 amounted to 26.8 million pesos, a rise of 22.1% from 22.0 million pesos in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.
The normalized profit margin fell to 7.7% from 9.2% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 46.0% on an annual basis to 350.4 million pesos from 239.9 million pesos, and total operating expenses climbed 41.5% from the prior-year period to 312.4 million pesos from 220.7 million pesos.
Reported net income grew 14.9% year over year to 26.4 million pesos, or 0 centavos per share, from 23.0 million pesos, or 0 centavos per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 3 centavos per share, an increase of 44.4% from 2 centavos per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was 200.7 million pesos, an increase of 44.2% from 139.1 million pesos in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue increased 30.0% on an annual basis to 1.47 billion pesos from 1.13 billion pesos, and total operating expenses increased 23.8% on an annual basis to 1.16 billion pesos from 936.9 million pesos.
The company said reported net income grew 42.6% on an annual basis to 207.8 million pesos, or 4 centavos per share, in the full year, from 145.7 million pesos, or 2 centavos per share.
As of June 9, US$1 was equivalent to 9.02 Argentine pesos.
