Jerasia Capital Bhd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 was 885,630 ringgits, a gain of 96.0% from 451,880 ringgits in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 1.1% from 0.6% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed year over year to 80.2 million ringgits from 78.7 million ringgits, and total operating expenses came to 78.0 million ringgits, compared with 77.3 million ringgits in the year-earlier period.
Reported net income grew year over year to 967,000 ringgits, or 1 sen per share, from 413,000 ringgits, or 1 sen per share.
As of Nov. 27, US$1 was equivalent to 3.35 ringgits.
