Hallenstein Glasson fiscal H1 profit climbs 39.6% YOY

Hallenstein Glasson Holdings Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Feb. 1 was 13 New Zealand cents per share, a gain of 39.6% from 9 cents per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NZ$7.5 million, an increase of 39.6% from NZ$5.4 million in the prior-year period.

Total revenue rose year over year to NZ$110.9 million from NZ$106.4 million, and total operating expenses grew year over year to NZ$99.2 million from NZ$98.1 million.

Reported net income grew 39.8% year over year to NZ$8.6 million, or 14 cents per share, from NZ$6.2 million, or 10 cents per share.
