Eurus Energy closes acquisition of 53-MW wind portfolio in Netherlands

Eurus Energy Holdings Corp. completed the acquisition of a 53.2-MW wind portfolio in the Netherlands from Dutch wind developer Yard Energy Group BV.

The transaction involves six operational wind facilities with a combined capacity of about 32.2 MW and the planned 21-MW Windpark Deil wind project, which is expected to be completed in 2020. Yard Energy will remain as a minority shareholder in Windpark Deil, which will supply power to Eneco Group.

Rabobank and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp. will provide debt financing for the Windpark Deil project.

The companies did not disclose the terms of the transaction in the Jan. 15 news releases. The acquisition boosts Eurus' installed wind capacity in the Netherlands to about 106.5 MW.

Eurus Energy is a partnership between Toyota Tsusho Corp. and Tokyo Electric Power Co. Holdings Inc. It has over 2.8 GW of wind and solar power generation worldwide.
