EJF Capital names co-CEO, receives minority investment from Kudu

EJF Capital LLC named co-founder and COO Neal Wilson co-CEO and announced that it received a strategic minority investment from Kudu Investment Management LLC.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The investment does not impact the day-to-day operations or influence investment and decision-making processes of EJF. The company intends to use the proceeds as strategic growth capital to invest in its existing and future funds and securitization vehicles.

Barclays Capital Inc. served as financial adviser and Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson LLP served as legal adviser to EJF. Seward & Kissel LLP served as legal adviser to Kudu.
