Daidoh fiscal Q4 profit falls YOY

Daidoh Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 came to ¥3.57 per share, a decline from ¥3.68 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥120.0 million, a decline from ¥124.8 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 1.8% from 1.7% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased 8.9% on an annual basis to ¥6.57 billion from ¥7.21 billion, and total operating expenses decreased 8.4% year over year to ¥6.62 billion from ¥7.23 billion.

Reported net income totaled a loss of ¥155.5 million, or a loss of ¥4.61 per share, compared to a loss of ¥1.27 billion, or a loss of ¥37.43 per share, in the year-earlier period.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥3.13 per share, compared with a loss of 6 sen per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was ¥106.6 million, compared with a loss of ¥2.0 million in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue fell 5.9% year over year to ¥24.49 billion from ¥26.02 billion, and total operating expenses fell 5.6% year over year to ¥25.06 billion from ¥26.55 billion.

The company said reported net income totaled ¥88.3 million, or ¥2.59 per share, in the full year, compared with a loss of ¥1.82 billion, or a loss of ¥53.55 per share, the prior year.
