BlackRock completes purchase of Terra Firma wind portfolio

BlackRock Inc. has completed the purchase of all voting rights in the power marketing business of Terra Firma Capital Partners Ltd. and a wind energy portfolio.

According to a Feb. 21 Federal Energy Regulatory Commission filing, BlackRock purchased voting rights in EverPower Commercial Services LLC and Big Savage LLC. EverPower Commercial is a power marketing subsidiary of EverPower Wind Holdings Inc.

Big Savage owns the 139.4-MW Twin Ridges Wind Farm in Somerset County, Pa., and Allegany County, Md.; the 240-MW Big Sky Wind Facility in Bureau and Lee counties, Ill.; the 75-MW Highland North Wind Farm in Cambria County, Pa.; the 55.4-MW Howard Wind Project in Steuben County, N.Y.; the 150-MW Mustang Hills Wind Project in Kern County, Calif.; and Krayn Wind LLC, which owns the 62.5-MW Highland Wind Project and the 30-MW Patton Wind Farm in Cambria County, Pa.

The transaction was consummated Feb. 16. (FERC docket EC18-29)
