Sumatra revises full-year guidance for Tembang gold-silver project

Sumatra Copper & Gold Plc said May 30 that it reduced the full-year guidance for the Tembang gold-silver project in Indonesia from between 45,000 and 55,000 ounces of gold equivalent to between 40,000 and 50,000 ounces of gold equivalent.

The revised outlook was caused by the delays in open pit ore production at the Berenai deposit, which required the removal of waste material, which mainly comprised thick mud.

The company said open pit ore production at Berenai has resumed following the removal of the waste material, with 12,000 gold equivalent ounces planned to be mined in stage two and a further 5,600 gold equivalent ounces in stage three.
