Compagnie des Alpes SA fiscal Q4 loss widens 19.2% YOY

Compagnie des Alpes SA said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended Sept. 30, 2015, came to a loss of 44 euro cents per share, compared with a loss of 37 cents per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of €10.6 million, compared with a loss of €8.9 million in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined year over year to €137.4 million from €140.5 million, and total operating expenses came to €148.9 million, compared with €148.6 million in the year-earlier period.

Reported net income totaled a loss of €10.3 million, or a loss of 42 cents per share, compared to a loss of €9.1 million, or a loss of 37 cents per share, in the prior-year period.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled €1.16 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate of €1.11.

EPS rose 14.1% from €1.02 in the prior year.

Normalized net income was €28.3 million, a rise of 14.0% from €24.8 million in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue amounted to €695.9 million, compared with €693.0 million in the prior year, and total operating expenses came to €628.9 million, compared with €632.3 million in the year-earlier period.

The company said reported net income increased 17.1% on an annual basis to €30.0 million, or €1.23 per share, in the full year, from €25.6 million, or €1.05 per share.
