LafargeHolcim Ltd said its second-quarter normalized net income came to CHF1.10 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of CHF1.04 per share.
EPS rose 52.7% year over year from 72 centimes.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was CHF666.9 million, a gain of 52.5% from CHF437.3 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 9.7% from 6.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue decreased 5.9% year over year to CHF6.85 billion from CHF7.28 billion, and total operating expenses fell 9.8% from the prior-year period to CHF5.69 billion from CHF6.31 billion.
Reported net income increased 104.4% on an annual basis to CHF787.0 million, or CHF1.30 per share, from CHF385.0 million, or 64 centimes per share.
