AMP Capital raises US$6.2B for infrastructure fund

AMP Capital Investors Ltd. raised US$6.2 billion for its fourth infrastructure debt fund, which will be used to finance infrastructure and energy projects.

The investment manager said the fundraising included the final close of the AMP Capital Infrastructure Debt Fund IV, which reached its hard cap of US$4 billion. An additional US$1 billion was secured in co-investment rights and a further US$1.2 billion from investors.

During the year, over US$2 billion of funds raised has been deployed into 10 quality assets located around the world, AMP said, adding that it now wants to secure "quality investments to deploy the remainder of the capital" with a focus on energy, utilities, digital technology and transport infrastructure in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development and developed countries.
