Eros Now to offer unlimited video content to BSNL subscribers

Eros Now, Eros International PLC's over-the-top South Asian entertainment platform, entered into a platform and content association agreement with India's state-owned telco BSNL to offer unlimited content to BSNL subscribers.

The partnership will allow postpaid and prepaid BSNL customers to have unlimited, free access to video content on the Eros Now app, according to a Jan. 8 news release. The service will be made available to BSNL subscribers by the end of January.

Eros Now content collection comprises more than 11,000 movies, digital originals, Eros Now Quickies and music videos.

CEO of Eros Digital Rishika Lulla Singh said, "The OTT industry in India is expected to reach a size of $5 billion by 2023 with tier II, III and rural areas of India witnessing a sizeable increase in mobile penetration and data consumption," adding that the partnership will bridge the urban-rural gap and expand Eros Now's national reach.
