Cubico Sustainable Investments acquires 50-MW wind farm in Uruguay

Cubico Sustainable Investments acquired Astidey SA, a 50-MW operational wind farm in Uruguay, from an undisclosed group of investors.

Cubico's portfolio in Uruguay now comprises two wind assets with a total capacity of 100 MW, according to a Jan. 15 release.

The group recently entered the Greek renewables market with the acquisition of the 21-MW K-Wind Kitheronas onshore wind farm.

Cubico is owned by Canadian pension funds Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan and the Public Sector Pension Investment Board.
