KOIKE-YA Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to ¥33.02 per share, a decline of 46.4% from ¥61.65 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥160.8 million, a decrease of 41.3% from ¥273.8 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin declined to 1.9% from 3.3% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased on an annual basis to ¥8.47 billion from ¥8.27 billion, and total operating expenses rose year over year to ¥8.20 billion from ¥7.83 billion.
Reported net income fell 25.5% from the prior-year period to ¥199.0 million, or ¥40.88 per share, from ¥267.0 million, or ¥60.13 per share.
As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.68.
