Ames National names CEO, ups dividend

Thomas Pohlman is retiring as Ames National Corp.'s president and CEO, effective June 29.

Succeeding him in the roles is John Nelson, the Ames, Iowa-based company's executive vice president, secretary, CFO, COO and board member.

Nelson, in turn, will be replaced as CFO and secretary by Controller John Pierschbacher. Pohlman will stay on as chairman of the board; Nelson will remain a board member.

Ames is also paying out a cash dividend of 23 cents per common share — up from the previous 22 cents — plus a special dividend of 25 cents per share.

The dividends will be distributed May 15 to shareholders of record as of May 1.
