ANTA Sports Products profit misses consensus by 17.1% in H2

ANTA Sports Products Ltd said its second-half normalized net income was 36 fen per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 44 fen per share.

EPS increased 28.6% year over year from 28 fen.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 905.3 million yuan, a gain of 28.8% from 702.9 million yuan in the prior-year period.

Total revenue increased 25.3% year over year to 6.02 billion yuan from 4.80 billion yuan, and total operating expenses climbed 21.8% on an annual basis to 4.58 billion yuan from 3.76 billion yuan.

Reported net income grew 19.8% on an annual basis to 1.08 billion yuan, or 43 fen per share, from 897.5 million yuan, or 36 fen per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 69 fen per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate of 81 fen.

EPS rose 25.4% from 55 fen in the prior year.

Normalized net income was 1.72 billion yuan, a gain of 25.6% from 1.37 billion yuan in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue rose 24.7% on an annual basis to 11.13 billion yuan from 8.92 billion yuan, and total operating expenses grew 22.1% year over year to 8.43 billion yuan from 6.90 billion yuan.

The company said reported net income rose 20.0% on an annual basis to 2.04 billion yuan, or 81 fen per share, in the full year, from 1.70 billion yuan, or 68 fen per share.

As of Feb. 23, US$1 was equivalent to 6.53 yuan.
