Iberdrola starts turbine installation at 23-MW Spanish wind farm

Iberdrola SA has started installing turbines at the 23-MW El Pradillo wind farm in Spain.

The facility, representing a total investment of €26 million, is located in the municipal areas Frescano, Borja and Agón in Zaragoza, Aragón. The company said the installation of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA turbines will be completed within the next two months.

The project is expected to be placed in service by the end of 2019, according to an Aug. 28 release.

El Pradillo is part of the company's clean energy relaunch plan in Spain to install an additional 3,000 MW by 2022 and up to 10,000 new MW by 2030.
