Moelis & Co. appointed Rick Haythornthwaite as an advisory partner in London.

Canaccord Genuity named Brian Bacal managing director and head of Canadian restructuring, expanding the North American debt finance and restructuring practice.

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. formed a new commodities finance team, which will be led by Colleen Foster, global head of commodities sales, Reuters reported, citing an internal memo.

Raymond James & Associates Inc. Senior Vice President Howard Sachs died on March 3, the Tampa Bay Business Journal reported.

Moelis & Co. appointed Chris Roberts as a managing director providing equity capital markets advice to clients across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. It appointed Martin Houston as an advisory partner and chairman of the company's global energy group.

Cowen Inc. appointed Matthew Ramsay and Krish Sankar to its technology, media and telecommunication equity research team as managing directors.

First Beverage Group LLC's investment banking division, First Beverage Financial, merged with Seattle-based investment banking firm Cascadia Capital LLC, and the entire First Beverage investment banking team will join Cascadia.
