E-Kiosk Q1 profit climbs 80.9% YOY

e-Kiosk S.A. said its normalized net income for the first quarter was 2 groszy per share, an increase of 80.9% from 1 groszy per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 385,940 zlotys, an increase of 80.9% from 213,340 zlotys in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 4.6% from 2.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed year over year to 8.3 million zlotys from 8.1 million zlotys, and total operating expenses came to 7.7 million zlotys, compared with 7.7 million zlotys in the year-earlier period.

Reported net income rose from the prior-year period to 509,590 zlotys, or 3 groszy per share, from 231,260 zlotys, or 1 groszy per share.

As of May 9, US$1 was equivalent to 3.88 zlotys.
