Nordic Capital Fund IX and Sampo agreed to acquire a 17.47% stake in Oslo-based digital bank Norwegian Finans Holding ASA from Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA for about 2.22 billion Norwegian kroner.

The deal completion will occur in two tranches, with the first tranche involving a 9.97% stake scheduled on or around Aug. 26. The remaining 7.50% will be acquired upon receipt of approval by the Norwegian Financial Supervisory Authority.
