Lightsource BP marks Spanish entry with 300-MW solar deal

Lightsource BP Renewable Energy Investments Ltd. acquired a solar portfolio totaling 300 MW in the province of Zaragoza, Spain, from Forestalia Renovables SL, marking its entry into the Spanish market.

The six projects that make up the portfolio have all received administrative and environmental approvals, according to an Oct. 16 news release.

Lightsource BP, which is 43% owned by BP PLC, will finance the projects and negotiate power purchase agreements with renewable energy buyers across the region.
