UK Treasury names interim chair

The U.K. Parliament's Treasury Committee said Sept. 3 that its members appointed John Mann interim chair.

Mann replaces former Treasury Chair Nicky Morgan, who British Prime Minister Boris Johnson appointed as secretary of state for digital, culture, media and sport in July.

The Treasury noted that Mann will serve in the post on a temporary basis until a new a chair is elected. He will chair the Committee's Sept. 4 scheduled session with the Bank of England.
