PTT PCL said its normalized net income for the second quarter came to 6.70 baht per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 10.68 baht per share.
EPS increased 17.4% year over year from 5.70 baht.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 19.13 billion baht, a gain of 17.4% from 16.30 billion baht in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 4.0% from 3.9% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 14.0% on an annual basis to 478.79 billion baht from 420.17 billion baht, and total operating expenses climbed 16.1% year over year to 434.10 billion baht from 374.04 billion baht.
Reported net income increased 26.6% year over year to 30.72 billion baht, or 10.75 baht per share, from 24.27 billion baht, or 8.50 baht per share.
As of Aug. 11, US$1 was equivalent to 33.23 baht.
