Sanatana Resources Inc. said Jan. 11 that it has successfully negotiated a surface access agreement with the local landowners for the company's Tirua project in Solomon Islands.
The agreement will help Sanatana secure a prospecting license over the 264-square-kilometer Tirua project and to begin exploration.
Additionally, the company identified an epithermal system, around 9 kilometers long and 1.5 kilometers wide, extending over 1,300 hectares, adjacent and directly east of the porphyry mineralization.
The company's initial focus of exploration will be this untested system, named the East Kolo epithermal gold target.
Sanatana said that it was acquiring Tirua last October 2018.
