Swiss lender Zuger Kantonalbank nominated Urs Rüegsegger to succeed Bruno Bonati as chairman of its supervisory board, according to an Aug. 22 statement.
Bonati is stepping down from his role after 10 years on the board. The nomination will be put up for a vote at the bank's annual general meeting on May 2, 2020, the bank said.
Rüegsegger is a former CEO of SIX Group AG and current chairman of the World Federation of Exchanges. His term at the World Federation of Exchanges will expire in October 2020.
