Yamanaka Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 20 amounted to ¥7.33 per share, a gain from 55 sen per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥141.1 million, an increase from ¥10.9 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 0.5% from 0.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose year over year to ¥25.68 billion from ¥24.82 billion, and total operating expenses increased from the prior-year period to ¥25.56 billion from ¥24.88 billion.
Reported net income increased year over year to ¥114.0 million, or ¥5.92 per share, from ¥27.0 million, or ¥1.37 per share.
