Report: Equinor resumes crude loadings at Statfjord field after spill

Equinor ASA has resumed crude oil loadings from the North Sea's Statfjord field after an oil spill was discovered May 15, according to a May 20 report from Reuters.

The Norwegian oil and gas producer said the crude off-loading is being done from an alternative buoy on the field and that production is not affected, according to the report.

The source and extent of the spill are still under investigation. The spill forced the company to shut down loading systems, Equinor said in a separate release.
