Royale Manor Hotels & Industries fiscal Q1 profit climbs YOY

Royale Manor Hotels and Industries Ltd said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 came to 16 Indian paise per share, an increase from 7 paise per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 3.0 million rupees, a gain from 1.4 million rupees in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 6.8% from 3.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased on an annual basis to 44.4 million rupees from 42.8 million rupees, and total operating expenses increased on an annual basis to 36.4 million rupees from 35.5 million rupees.

Reported net income increased year over year to 3.8 million rupees, or 20 paise per share, from 1.1 million rupees, or 6 paise per share.

As of Aug. 13, US$1 was equivalent to 61.07 Indian rupees.
