Thor Mining PLC said Jan. 30 that it applied for an exploration license area to secure prospective ground, contiguous with the Gap Track prospect on the Molyhil tungsten deposit in Australia's Northern Territory, to the south of existing tenements.
The company applied for the additional area on the basis of highly encouraging results from the 2016 exploration drilling program, which aimed to test for additional tungsten mineralization near the Molyhil deposit.
If granted, the new area will facilitate exploration access to a further 68 square kilometers of ground highly prospective for further Molyhil-style skarn hosted tungsten deposits.
